Linux 6.15 Preparing Support For The XP-Pen Artist Pro 19, A Big 4K Drawing Tablet

([Hardware] 6 Hours Ago XP-Pen Artist Pro 19)

Linux already supports a number of [1]XP-Pen drawing tablets while the upcoming [2]Linux 6.15 kernel is set to include support for another one: the XP-Pen Artist Pro 19. This XP-Pen Artist Pro 19 is a big, 4K resolution display drawing tablet that retails for nearly $800 USD and features dual stylus, 16K pressure levels, and a nice display for this 19-inch drawing surface.

Support for the XP-Pen Artist Pro 19 (Gen2) has been queued up into [3]HID.git's for-next branch ahead of the Linux 6.15 merge window opening later this month. This XP-Pen Artist Pro 19 support is similar to the prior 16" and 14" XP-Pen drawing tablets already supported via the Linux kernel and is coming by way of a HID BPF program.

So for those digital artists after a large drawing tablet with 4K display, the XP-Pen Artist Pro 19 is now another option that will begin to see mainline Linux support.

Everything you've learned in school as "obvious" becomes less and less
obvious as you begin to study the universe. For example, there are no
solids in the universe. There's not even a suggestion of a solid.
There are no absolute continuums. There are no surfaces. There are no
straight lines.
