BusyBox 1.37 Adds "getfattr" Along With Other Improvements

BusyBox 1.37 has been released as the first feature release in one and a half years for this "Swiss Army Knife of embedded Linux" systems. With BusyBox 1.37 comes some new options, many fixes, and other enhancements.

Among the many changes to find with BusyBox 1.37 that have built up since early 2023 include:

- The hwclock command has added get/set parameter options.

- Various Ash improvements.

- Many math fixes in the shell.

- Various Awk compatibility improvements.

- The NTP client and server are now Year 2036 and Year 2038 ready.

- The "getfattr" applet is new to BusyBox for getting extended attributes of file-system objects.

- Many fixes.
